All is ready for the Tijuana China Festival |
 Just as the Olympic Games starts in Beijing, this Saturday 9 and Sunday 10, the first Tijuana-China Festival is taking place. With a colorful program that will show traditions from this ancient culture.
Famous Avenida Rrevolucion in Tijuana. Baja California, will be the location for this festival. More than 10 thousand people are expected in this two days from both sides of the Mexico - U.S. border, where there will be traditional Chinese music, a parade with typical costumes, the famous Dragon Dance, painters artisans.
Tijuana Conventions and Visitors Bureau President Ana Alicia Meneses, commented that on the upcoming Saturday evening, there will be a giant screen projecting the Olympic Games opening installed on the street. Plus more that 20 Chinese restaurants from the region will participate with gastronomic samples. There will be also martial arts demonstrations.
Entrance cover will be 20 pesos (around 2 dollars) while attendees who purchase the carnet ticket that will be sold for 100 pesos (around 10 dollars) will get chance to participate in a 10 day round trip to China drawing.
Part of the profits will be donated by the Chinese community to the Tijuana General Hospital.
