Real Estate Congress Baja California Meeting Point |
The fourth edition of the real estate congress called Baja California Meeting Point (BCMP) will have different aspects, among them, the potential market of future pensioners and retirees in the United States, explained Javier Godinez Villegaz, the event planner.
During the press conference that took place on the press room from the Central Government of Tijuana, Secretary of State, Oscar Escobedo Carignan, explained that the development of Baja Real Estate was cut off by the mortgage crisis in the United States.
“People where making down payments on their Baja homes while paying a second mortgage of their home in the United States, but then bank interest increased and many people abandoned their investment”, the Secretary of State explained.
This forced real estate developers to break on their Baja homes production because they invested with the clients’ down payments, but after a modification on the investment scene, Escobedo commented, they are building with their own resources, this allows for the arrival of ‘fresher’ money.
On another point, the Baja California Meeting Point planner, Javier Godinez, explained that the event will take place from October 15 through the 18 at the Grand Hotel Tijuana, is not only advertising the Baja real estate projects from Northwest region like, Northern Baja California, Southern Baja California and the states of Sonora and Sinaloa but also the touristic infrastructure that Baja California is currently working on.
In this press conference where also present Ives Lelevier Ramos, Sub-Secretary of State Tourism and Hector Mendiola Saenz, Planning and Support for the Secretariat of State Tourism Director (Secture).
