Real estate in Baja California’s newest city: Rosarito Beach
You probably heard about it from someone you know. Saw it on TV or read about it in most Newspapers and Magazines or even on-line, like this article. Chances are, if you live in southern California then you probably have been there. Yes I’m talking about famous Rosarito Beach!
Every summer and Spring Break thousands of Americans storm this little Mexican city just 20 minutes south of the US-Mexico border. People coming from San Diego, Los Angeles and even farther north, San Francisco and Sacramento are regular visitors for this Pacific Jewel. Arizona, Nevada and in recent years Canadian residents have made Rosarito Beach their new summer vacation destiny.
It’s not hard to see what makes North Americans visit this pleasant corner of Northern Baja. For in such a place, as close as you can be to the redefined commodities of the United States, you have year round great weather with sunny skies and fresh air, just a fraction warmer than southern California. The food is just first class, Rosarito Beach is worldly famous for its Puerto Nuevo style lobster. A buttery local delicacy served with rice, beans and Mexican flower tortillas made on site! Not to mention the various types of tacos and mouthwatering salsas.
Great weather and tasty food are really good lures, but what keeps
people coming back to Rosarito is the warmth of its people, the Baja
lifestyle, the affordability of the region and the proximity to the
United State border.
It is this Baja lifestyle that has driven so many North Americans to
settle for retirement in this part of the world. Almost 60,000
foreigners are witness to this on-growing demand for affordable real
estate and close to home premier medical services.
The real estate market in Baja California, particularly in Rosarito,
although right now slow, has been constantly evolving to accommodate a
wide arrange of visitors and investors. Being the youngest of all the
cities in Baja, Rosarito has come a long way since its proclamation as
independent Municipality in 1995. The city has undertaken great steps
towards establishing itself as a safe haven for tourists and foreign
residents. Being the most active city in Baja when it comes to
promoting itself as a touristic destination, Rosarito has been very
successful in advertising its oceanfront real estate, either as
affordable second homes or as legal foreigner ownership.
With more than a dozen new oceanfront communities being built at never
before seen prices, Rosarito Beach clearly has set its eyes towards
making itself as a foreigner preferred destination.

, on 06-05-2008 19:46 When we visited Rosearetta Beach in 1986 it was a lot of Fun. The town was small at that time,my Son thought it was cool to be able to order cervaz himself,[he was 18]. The Lobster was out of this world. The beach didn't seem that clean back then. I'd really like to take another look at it today, now that I'm retired an restless.
